Dylan Rounds was a rare breed of 19-year-old, thrilled with farming and dedicated to nurturing the land he owned in Lucin, UT. It was common for days to pass without hearing from him as he focused on his farmwork. A holiday passed without him, family and friends waited to see his proud photographs of planted crops…but there was no text, no call. His worried family involved the local Sheriff’s department.
Everyone had an opinion on Dylan’s whereabouts: neighbors, Lucin locals, and internet sleuths. There were signs that something awful had become of Dylan - mainly, his silence toward the family he loved. As the search continued, online minions and psychics began to feed on a desperate family’s hope, slowly draining it.
In this episode of Sword and Scale, we navigate the twists and turns of an intense investigation by the Sheriff’s office and the FBI. Once Dylan’s fate was finally discovered, it was a brutal betrayal that left those who heard it to wonder at its twistedness.
